  • AnonymousWhat do you think happens when we die, do you think it'll be cold or hot, will it be the end of consciousness or is there something else, does it scare you?

Personally, I would like to believe that when we die we cluelessly carry on living elsewhere in this infinitely vast existence, because I do not feel as if life and the feeling of actually being alive can ever just cease to be for anyone. Perhaps because otherwise I’d feel that I’m wasting my short amount of time here on Earth and that’s what scares me, not the thought of dying but the possibility that it is truly the end of everything I am

Not that I could ever support this or that I even believe it to be factually true at all, but I sort of figure it’s a good thing that we’re so blissfully unaware of what might happen when we die. Because those who want some form of afterlife can have something to look forward to or some form of reassurance, and those who want to die and rot in the dirt are able to live their lives as if that’s the case without either of the conflicting theories being proven right or wrong, ultimately allowing everyone to retain their views on the matter and treat death as it appears to be to themselves.
